The short versionOn October 8, 2026, Ryan Serhant and HeyGen launched @HeySerhant, a social channel where Serhant's AI avatar, made from his likeness and voice, publishes original content every day for the next 12 months. Every post is labeled as AI and every script comes from Team SERHANT. HeyGen's Digital Twin needs at least 2 minutes of footage in one continuous take plus a consent video under 30 seconds.
Ryan Serhant is about to post more than ever, and he won't film most of it. On October 8, Serhant and HeyGen announced @HeySerhant, "a new social channel powered by Serhant's AI avatar that will publish original content every day for the next 12 months."
What happened
The avatar was created from Serhant's likeness and voice. HeyGen says the channel turns his ideas, market takes and leadership advice into daily AI-generated content, "with every post clearly labeled as AI," and that Serhant helps shape and approve the topics and messaging.
On its HeySerhant page, HeyGen explains: "Ryan recorded himself once, and that footage became his avatar." And: "Every script comes directly from Team SERHANT." The channel runs on Instagram, TikTok and X.
The details
Volume is the point. Variety reports that Serhant "claims his company produces about 2,200 social posts a month." HeyGen, for its part, says it's used by over 30 million people (a company claim).
The setup behind it is HeyGen's Digital Twin. According to HeyGen's help center, you record at least 2 minutes of footage, with up to 5 recommended, in one continuous take with no cuts. Every video-based Digital Twin also needs a consent video from the same person, reading HeyGen's consent text, kept under 30 seconds. HeyGen's FAQ says the free plan offers 1 Digital Twin slot, and Creator and Pro plans offer 5 by default. We haven't checked plan prices.
Why brands should care
Plenty of local businesses have a face, the owner, who hates filming. Serhant's setup shows a cleaner way to use an AI version of yourself: a separate, clearly labeled channel, scripts written by real people, and the real person still showing up for the moments that matter.
What to do
Our take, not HeyGen guidance:
- Record once, properly. At least 2 minutes in one take, looking at the lens. A phone works.
- Record the consent clip. Same person, under 30 seconds.
- Write the scripts yourself, the way Team SERHANT does.
- Keep the clone to FAQs and service explainers. Film the personal moments yourself, and label the AI posts as AI.
